1977 Toyota Cressida Rx30
Not sure where to start with this one but here we go
Purchased by serial car and serious bike mad Shaun Farmer in 2012 as a Piss Yellow 63bhp 1.8 3 speed Auto the plan was to Polish it, lower it on some banded steels and cruise it at that....
Ha!
Before Shaun had got home it was having a power upgrade and as soon as the car was home MP Autorefinishing was getting the spit ready as they had heard Shaun was already stripping this back to bare bones all while a poor old IS200 Lexus turned up.
The 1G-FE Lexus Engine, 6 speed manual Gearbox and Prop were removed along with anything else needed from the Lexus and installed into the Toyota using Custom Fabricated mounts and mated to the Cressida.
Body wise the shell was in very very good condition with only minimal surface rust and after been taken back to bare metal it needed next to nothing so the car was then primed and painted in Ferrari Tungsten Silver Inside, underneath and on top along with painted gloss Black stripes with Mipa Silver outlines. Hours have been spent getting the shut lines better than when it was new along with every nut bolt and fitting replaced with stainless or re-plated.
The Vehicle was then sent to Crisp Tuning for all the tricky stuff sorting, first up was a custom prop to go between the Lexus and Toyota rear end along with fully custom coilovers utilising Tein and Technotoys parts with adjustable camber plates then it was time to get it running so thanks to Chris it now runs a large custom aluminium radiator, standalone Link 4 ECU (so is ready for additional forced induction if so required). The original Fuel tank was also refurbed and a seperate fuel pump, and swirl pot were installed in the boot that has been beautifully hardlined with 'AN' fittings along with a 6 into 1 stainless titanium exhaust system which sounds Beautiful.
stainless window trims have been polished along with custom rain guards and the bumpers were smoothed off before replating, genuine celica ta22 mirrors were imported from Japan along with 4" arch extensions which brings us onto the wheels. Wow! Custom SSR Longchamps stepped up from 5.5 x 13" to 9.5 and 10.5 x 15" by Barrell Brothers in Australia.
Interior wise is pretty much standard and in showroom condition, there are hundreds of details that we will have missed but everything that has been done by Shaun himself will be ran through for anyone seriously interested in this incredible car and Crisp Tuning who can run through and continue to maintain the vehicle for the new owner.
Numerous spares can also be had in addition upon negotiations price wise
funniest thing about this vehicle is that it was never built as a "show car" but it has won 14 shows and had 3 magazine features just from been at events in the car park.
This is a very, very cool one off vehicle not for the shy and retiring that still has potential to go further with to put your own mark on it regarding the interior and more power if required and it would also be great for people to actually see at future shows and events and collect more trophies at the same time.
