Beautiful Mercedes W124 estate (S124) Touring Diesel with only 96 thousand miles on her!
This was bought as Jim's forever car as it does all the daily duties while still being typically well Jim! but a low milage BMW Alpina popped up that he couldn't turn down so unfortunately this is now surplus to requirements. sad face
5cylinder straight diesel so as you probably already know good for a million miles so loved by continental taxi drivers globally they also love to be run on biodiesel, chip fat, used whatever oil etc although this never has as it's very economical as it is, swallows the kids dogs/wardrobes etc with no struggles and sounds lovely with the 5cylinder under the hood, it's no race car but after a chat with dieselpumpuk for around £1500 it could be with a turbo, custom manifold and a bigger fuelpump....
MOT'd Till the 18th of September and flew through as it has since we can see, nothing untowards on any of the previous MOT's, no rot just some bubbling on the rear o/s arch, it's certainly had some questionable paint but cleans up very nice as you can see from the pics it's not the usual rotten old mercedes.
interior is in very very good condition, however to be mint it would need the centre wood panel replacing, betsy a jones leather goods repaired a worn drivers bolster with a period leather patch looks brill to be fair but other than that it's very good condition considering the age, car also has a DAB, bluetooth, usb, smart phone friendly pioneer stereo, rainbow components a genesis profile 4 amp to run them with a hidden 8" subwoofer so again no compromises there and sounds incredible.
Front suspension consists of raised front adjustable camber plates, amg spring pads and spax adjustable front shocks with Eibach springs.
Rear suspension has custom short gas shocks with modified rear arms by Crisp Tuning with amg spring pads, adjustable rear camber arms with polyurethane bushes and Eibach Springs. Self levelling rear shocks are also included with the sale so the vehicle can easilly be put back to standard all the rear self levelling system has been replaced recently and covered in grease to protect it all as it will have cost the previous owner near £1000 if not more
German made dual exit backbox fitted mainly for clearance but again helps with the 5cylinder soundtrack, new downpipe was also fitted at the same time and the centre section was in very good condition so no worries there.
recently also had discs pads could do with new abs rings or what's on cleaning but we'll try sort this before also had an oil change, a k&n panel was also installed.
staggered 18" colour coded monoblocks with as new tyres front and rear fitted, the sale will also include the original steel wheels with hub caps and decent tyres.
Japanese amg style spec front splitter fitted which we don't have a lot of info on but it absolutely makes the front end of the car without taking anything away from what it is.
the funky ageless number plate is negotiable dependant upon price agreed and there is also some 16x8" steel wheels with very rare period s class wheel trims that are available that were going to be run over winter and possibly made into stepped up split rims for next summer.
there probably will be some info missing but get in touch and Jim who will be able to answer anything that's not here as it was/is one of his favourite vehicles he owns so has had some time and love spent on it.
You will not find another diesel 124 with this milage let alone for this money not to mention in an estate
